Helping children and teenagers with mental health issues to succeed is one the most important goals of my life. I have dedicated my time to work with youth since I was 18 years-old. During this time I was a student of Psychology in Paris and I worked as a camp counselor where I taught children and teenagers different sports (I was a skiing, windsurfing and sailing teacher). I graduated from Paris V, University of René Descartes (Behavioral Psychology) with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychopathology in 1998. I also spent a year studying Cerebral Aging at the Faculty of Medicine in Paris VI, Lariboisière. I have done clinical research on infant genetic development, Autism, Dyslexia, Depression and Alzheimer’s disease. I worked three years in Gerontology for a hospital in Paris where I did neuropsychological evaluations for elderly patients who had strokes or dementias. After finishing school, I worked with youth as an educational psychologist in a clinical setting for the first time. I moved to the United States in 2000 and took time off after I had my first child before returning to my field. I extended my education by attending classes from the psychology program at Santa Clara University. I finished my training in the U.S. and became a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in 2008. Since then, I have been working in private practice in the Rose Garden area in San Jose. Through this position I met Dr. Tarshis who had just started BACA. I chose to work with Bay Area Children’s Association, because I share the vision of providing comprehensive, scientific care for children and families. I enjoy working with a team and look forward to helping the agency continue to grow.
My devotion for children and teenagers is one of my passions. I enjoy passing on to them my positive nature, my energy, my happiness, my hope for life and its successes. I work to guide children and teenagers to build strength, make good choices and decrease family struggles.
